Dosage guidance
PRESCRIPTION ONLY. Standard diabetes dose is 500–2,550 mg/day in divided doses. The TAME trial (Targeting Aging with Metformin) is evaluating 1,500 mg/day for longevity in non-diabetics. Long-term use depletes vitamin B12 — supplement accordingly.
